Imprinted Concrete - What is it?
Patterned imprinted concrete is a popular choice for driveways as an alternative to block paving, tarmac or resin. The technique allows us to create the look of paving, with the hard-wearing characteristics of concrete.
Concrete is laid to fill the chosen surface, then before the concrete has fully set a stencil is applied to the upper surface to create a stone, paved or other pattered effect. Edging patterns can be added to really finish off the look.
Once the concrete has fully cured, the surface is ready for use as an attractive, low-maintenance driveway, patio or path.

What are the benefits of patterned concrete?
Our patterned concrete service offers a wide range of textures, colours and patterns, meaning your imprinted concrete drive can be designed with a finish to compliment the style your garden or house. Concrete is highly versatile as a surface, fitting into nearly any shape, plus the final surface design might often be difficult to achieve using other methods.
On a standard home driveway we apply the patterned concrete to a minimum depth of 100-125mm, with heavy use areas having the option of a thicker layer. Patios or pathways are often suited to a depth of 75-100mm.
Once you've chosen a colour and pattern, you can also enhance the finish with a concrete stain or sealer. This makes the imprinted concrete far more resistant to wear and staining, and adds a fantastic finish to the entire area.
